Projector screen Hire | AV Hire

To get the ultimate clarity and quality of image from your data projector it is recommended that a specialist projection screen be employed.

The coating used on projection screen fabric is specifically designed to reflect and diffuse the projected light back to the audience resulting in better image sharpness, contrast and brightness.

There is a huge variety of projector screen type and size on the AV hire market. Discuss your particular event with your chosen AV hire supplier and they will recommend the most appropriate hire projector screen to suit your needs.

Floor Screens

Boasting a neat appearance and ease of use these screens are housed in floor mounted cases.

The projection fabric is then pulled up and supported with a rear mounted pole or scissor mechanism. This format results in excellent portability but limits floor mounted screens to front projection only.

Floor screens demonstrate the following benefits:

Ease of use & Versatile - Floor mounted screens are fully collapsible and lightweight. This allows ease of transport and installation with the screen able to be fully erected in seconds. They are available in sizes up to 200cm and have a highly professional appearance.

Fastfold Screens

Fastfold projection screens are commonly available on the audio visual hire market and come in a wide variety of sizes.

The Fastfold screen allows both front and rear projection usually being supplied with both projection surfaces which are interchangable. The screen consists of a collapsible metal frame which folds down into a carry case. Once erected the projection surface is secured to a collapsible rectangular square via pop-stud fasteners.

Fastfold projector screens display the following benefits:

Size - Fastfold screens are available in a variety of sizes up to 427cm x 320cm. This makes them suitable for the majority of events including large conference or corporate activities to large audiences. They are also available in square and video formats.

Stage Set Integration - Fasfold projector screens can be integrated into stage sets allowing a seamless finish to your event presentation. The rear projection capabilities allow the data projector to be positioned behind the stage set again improving the venue presentation.

Tripod Projector Screens

Supported by three collapsible legs the tripod projection screen is the traditional projection screen format.

The screen is housed in a case from which it is pulled and secured on a rear support pole. As with floor screens this results in excellent portability but limits floor mounted screens to front projection only. Discuss your particular event requirements with your chosen AV hire supplier and they will recommend the most appropriate projection screen for your needs.

Tripod projection screens demonstrate the following benefits:

Ease of use - As with floor screens tripod projector screens are collapsible, lightweight and easily transported. This makes them particularly efficient to transport to event venues, install and remove once the event is completed.

Size & Format - Tripod projector screens are available on the audio visual hire market in sizes of up to 240cm. They are also available in widescreen and square format to cater for both video and Powerpoint presentations. Advise your AV supplier of the audience size and data source you are projecting to allow them to provide the correct screen.

When hiring any projection screen consider the following aspects and advise your audio visual hire supplier accordingly:

Audience size - The bigger the audience the larger your hire projector screen should be. Advise your audio visual hire supplier of the number and position of the assembled audience to allow them to recommend the most appropriately sized screen.

Room size - Be aware that although the projection area of your screen may be 3m x 2m that the over height will include the legs which could add another 2m in height. Be sure that this will not interfere with the ceiling or fixtures at your event venue.

Front or rear projection - Rear projection allows the projector to be positioned behind the screen and results in a neater finish. Not all screens are able to cater for rear projection so if rear proecjtion is prefered advise your AV hire supplier so they can provide the most appropriate projector screen.
